CDG Leisure attended the much awaited UK opening of Taiwanese concept Monga Fried Chicken following our deal on Chinatown’s Macclesfield Street.

Associate Director Salvatore Di Natale who advised landlord Shaftesbury Plc on the deal said “We are very excited about Monga Fried Chicken’s entry into the UK market; especially in such a prime location in Chinatown.”

This 30 cover restaurant is the first European location for the Taiwanese concept who has 40 restaurants across Taiwan, the US and Canada.

Monga is named after the historical name for Wanhua, the Taipei cultural district which is often referred to as the birthplace of Taiwanese culture. The restaurant offers Taiwanese fried chicken in five flavour options, made from a unique recipe where flattened chicken cutlets are first marinated in honey, then coated in a batter for maximum crispiness.

CDG are working with a range of international brands looking to expand in the UK such as Ichabanya, Halal Guys and Wingstop.
