Popular north London eatery, Hudsons American Brasserie, and Pinner ice cream parlour, Indulge Dessert Lounge, are expanding via CDG Leisure.

CDG Leisure worked closely with the valuation and insolvency agents Williams and Partners Ltd to secure a 2,830 sq ft unit at the former Delisserie restaurant, on Shenley Road, in Borehamwood for Hudsons and a 1,700 sq ft unit on Buckingham Parade, in Stanmore for Indulge.

Hudsons is the brainchild of former Delisserie director Martin Ment. Established in 2015, the concept rapidly gained a following for its warm, relaxed atmosphere and huge variety of fresh American-inspired cuisine.

Diners can expect to see the same signature dishes as the Mill Hill and Whetstone branches, like Firebomb Chicken Wings, Truffled Mac ‘N’ Cheese and Blackened Tuna.

Indulge Dessert Lounge is a favourite for its late-night dessert offerings, including waffles, crepes and pancakes, all freshly made to order.

As well as sweet treats, served alongside a selection of 25 ice creams and sorbets, the eatery also prepares savoury food and a variety of hot drinks and smoothies. This will be the brand’s second site in London.

Emma Cousins, CDG Leisure, who brokered the deals on behalf of Mark Reynolds of Valentine & Co and Adam Harris of Mazars, the joint liquidators of Delisserie, said: “This is a great outcome for Delisserie and a testament to the strength of the two brands. Hudsons’ extensive repertoire of iconic American dishes is guaranteed to generate a buzz with Borehamwood diners.

“We are also seeing a growing demand in dessert spots, catalysed by social media platforms, such as Instagram. Indulge’s huge variety and after-dinner opening hours will make it a perfect destination for friends and family alike.”

Lewis Craig acted as joint agent. CDG Leisure has now secured concepts for four of the Delisserie restaurants since its instruction on the business earlier in the year. Vegan restaurant group, The Gate, took the 3,270 sq ft former Delisserie site on Allisten Road, in St Johns Wood, for its fourth London restaurant, opening in October.

All day bistro, Bob’s Café, a concept by Laurel Canyon Ventures, the team behind Belsize Park institution, Chez Bob, opened its third restaurant at the former Delisserie on The Broadway, in Mill Hill, in April this year.
